There should be no second or third-class citizenship treatment towards those with differing opinions in the country; citizens should be viewed as opportunities and potential rather than threats.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Iranian presidential candidate Masoud Pezeshkian during a pre-election television debate.

"We must establish justice for all ethnic groups and all regions," he said.

It should be noted that according to the latest opinion poll results, Masoud Pezeshkian is ahead of his five other competitors.
