As reported, a trilateral meeting between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia and the Prime Minister of Armenia did not take place during the CIS Heads of State Council summit held in Moscow on October 8.

Axar.az reports that Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian President, stated that while such a meeting was planned, it did not happen due to the disagreement of “one of the parties.”

The publication “Hraparak” wrote that Russian President Vladimir Putin reaffirmed the invitation for the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia to attend the BRICS summit in Kazan, and according to some claims, Putin intends to organize the meeting in Kazan. Kazan is seen as a larger platform, as while the CIS heads of state were gathered in Moscow, the participation of leaders from 34 countries, including China and Turkiye, is expected in Kazan.

Another claim from the publication is quite sensational. It stated that a trilateral meeting allegedly did take place in Moscow, but it was deemed unnecessary to announce this to the public. Instead, it was decided to continue the meeting in Kazan.
