Putin returns to Moscow after attending Valdai forum; Peskov shares key statements

Axar.az reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin has returned to Moscow after attending the Valdai Forum in Sochi. During the day, he will hold an operational meeting with permanent members of the Security Council.

According to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, who spoke at a press conference, the President made several important clarifications:

- Regarding Ukraine: Russia remains open to dialogue with Ukraine, but this does not mean a change in the objectives of the special military operation. All actions are based on the security interests of Russia and the Russian people living there; there has been no change in this regard.

- Regarding Trump: Putin is ready for dialogue with former U.S. President Donald Trump, but no concrete steps have been taken yet.

- Regarding Russia-US Relations: It is too early to talk about the warming of relations between Russia and the United States until specific actions are taken. There have been certain statements, but it would be premature to discuss it until concrete steps are made.

Additionally, Peskov declined to comment on questions regarding North Korea’s involvement in the war in Ukraine, advising the media to seek a response from the Ministry of Defense.
