U.S. and Ukrainian delegations have begun discussions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on the parameters of a ceasefire in Ukraine.

Axar.az reports that Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, who is part of the delegation, shared this information on X.

"We have started meetings with the American team in Riyadh. The agenda includes proposals for protecting energy facilities and critical infrastructure. Today, we will resolve several complex technical issues," he stated.

After two hours of talks between the Ukrainian and American delegations in Riyadh, a break was announced.

A TASS correspondent at the meeting site noted that discussions had not yet concluded, but the Ukrainian delegation had left the meeting room.
