SMPPA warns ships of strong winds in the Caspian Sea

The Ship Traffic Management Center of the State Maritime and Port Agency (SMPPA) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MIND) has warned ships about windy weather conditions.

Axar.az reports that the agency informed about this.

According to the warning, the northwest wind, which will be observed in the Caspian Sea from the second half of October 29, will continue until the daytime hours of October 30.

During these days, the northwest wind is expected to strengthen to 18-23 m/s, occasionally to 25-28 m/s, and to 30 m/s in the open sea.

The wave height is predicted to reach 2-3 meters, and in further development, to 3-5 meters.
