Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar's diplomatic visit to Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan began today.
Axar.az reports that the visit to Baku and Astana is aimed at developing bilateral political and economic relations.
Several official events, as well as meetings with representatives of state bodies and public circles, are planned within the framework of the visit. Meetings with representatives of Jewish communities are also planned.
The visit to Kazakhstan is taking place against the backdrop of the country's accession to the "Abraham Accords". In addition, the minister will participate in an event dedicated to the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Holocaust in Astana.
Gideon Saar is accompanied by a delegation of more than 40 Israeli businessmen and employees of state institutions. The delegation represents water technologies and agriculture, cybersecurity, engineering, finance, healthcare, and other sectors.
Business forums are also planned in Baku and Astana at the initiative of the Foreign Minister. In this context, members of the Israeli delegation will meet with local entrepreneurs and representatives of business circles.
