The number of registrations for the 13th session of the World Urban Forum has exceeded 42,000.
Axar.az reports that Anar Guliyev, chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, announced this at a press conference dedicated to the opening ceremony of WUF13 in Baku.
He said that 21,108 visitors attended the forum on its first day.
“A dynamic exhibition has been organized within the framework of the event, bringing together government agencies, international organizations, city administrations, academia, and private sector leaders. Across the exhibition area, which covers about 35,000 square meters, 260 partner organizations from 85 countries are represented through 122 stands and pavilions,” Guliyev said.
According to him, the exhibition includes 15 academic and research centers, 136 civil society representatives, 44 private sector participants — including 14 startups — as well as 41 pavilions from government institutions, 10 state-owned companies, and 6 local and regional administrative bodies.
Speaking about Azerbaijan’s participation, Guliyev said the country’s 1,500-square-meter pavilion showcases its urban planning experience, tourism potential, and large-scale reconstruction projects in Karabakh and East Zangezur.
