Jan Hamáček, speaker of the Czech parliament will pay a visit to Azerbaijan on March 13-15, Czech ambassador to Azerbaijan Vítězslav Pivoňka told reporters on Tuesday.

“Preparations are underway for the Czech education minister’s visit to Azerbaijan and are almost finished,” the ambassador said.

The diplomat added that preparations are also underway for the Czech defense minister’s visit to APA.

“We would like the visits of the ministers of defense and education to take place in the first half of the year. Education is an extremely important area for us. As you know, there are students studying in Czech in Baku Slavic University. These students will be able to study in our universities and they will be granted scholarship,” said the ambassador.
