I am proud that I represented the Turkish Cypriot people at the informal summit of the Organization of Turkish States (TST) held in Shusha at the invitation of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The strength of the Turkish world is together!

Axar.az reports that the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Ersin Tatar said this while commenting on the results of his visit to Azerbaijan at a briefing held in Nicosia on Sunday.

Ersin Tatar expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijan for the special attention and hospitality shown. "Representatives of the SRC were received in Azerbaijan in accordance with the state protocol. This happened only in Turkiye before. I am grateful to President Ilham Aliyev, as well as to everyone who participated in the organization of the summit in Shusha," said Tatar.

The politician expressed his satisfaction with visiting the city of Khankendi, which was liberated from occupation.

Tatar has long admitted that he hoped to participate in such an important dialogue platform. "Our goal is comprehensive development of relations within TST. "I am very happy that the flag of the SPC is flying in Shusha," said the leader of the SPC. At the same time, Tatar criticized the reaction of individual EU politicians regarding the invitation of Nicosia to the informal summit of TST in Shusha.

According to the President of the Turkish Cypriot Council, the development of relations with the Turkish states makes an important contribution to the strengthening of the positions of the Turkish Cypriots and the establishment of justice in Cyprus according to the principle of "two states".
