Five individuals wanted internationally have been extradited to Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that according to the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, this extradition was carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Convention on "Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family, and Criminal Matters" dated October 7, 2002. The extradition requests for Azerbaijani citizens Qedim Edil oglu Edilov, Ilqar Etibar oglu Israfilov, Namiq Agakhan oglu Qeribov, Huseynov Mahir Zahir oglu, and Vahid Edilman oglu Abbasov were granted by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.

There are substantial suspicions that these individuals committed offenses under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, leading to decisions to charge them as suspects. They were placed on international wanted lists due to their evasion of investigation.

The mentioned individuals were detained in the territory of the Russian Federation and were brought to Azerbaijan under the escort of a special convoy from the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
