Volkan Demirel appointed Genclerbirligi head coach

Former Turkiye international and Fenerbahce goalkeeper Volkan Demirel has returned to coaching. The 44-year-old has been appointed head coach of Genclerbirligi.

Axar.az informs the club’s press officer Aykut Çakmaklı confirmed the news, saying that Demirel is expected to arrive in Ankara today.

He replaces Huseyin Eroglu in the role. Demirel’s last job was with Bodrumspor, where he stepped down in February this year.
