Elneel remained on the ground for several minutes while receiving treatment from the medical staff. After a thorough on-field evaluation, the goalkeeper was cleared to continue, easing the tension that had gripped the match.

Initial reports later suggested the incident was caused by low blood sugar, with no further complications detected.

Remarkably, Monged Elneel returned to his position and saw out the match without further issues. His composure and presence proved crucial in key moments, helping Sudan protect a narrow 1–0 victory.
