In Baku, the first leg of the UEFA Champions League playoff between Qarabag and England’s Newcastle will be officiated by Norwegian referees.

Axar.az reports that the main referee will be Espen Eskas.

He will be assisted by his compatriots Jan Erik Engan and Isaak Elias Bashevkin, while the fourth official will be Sigurd Kringstad.

Dutch referee Rob Dieperink will serve as VAR, with Dennis Higler as AVAR. The referee inspector will be Italian Matteo Simone Trefoloni, and the UEFA delegate will be Lithuanian Ignas Marcinkevičius.

The match will kick off on February 18 at 21:45 at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium. The return leg will take place in England on the night of February 24–25 at 00:00.
