Gordon sets UCL record with fastest English hat-trick

Newcastle player Anthony Gordon has made history in the UEFA Champions League (UCL).

Axar.az reports that the 25-year-old forward achieved this record in the match against Qarabag in Baku.

He scored in the 3rd, 32nd, 34th, and 45+1st minutes of the game.

Gordon’s hat-trick at the 34th minute became the fastest by an English player in Champions League history. He also became the third Newcastle player to score a hat-trick in the UCL and the first to do so in the play-off stage.

With this performance, Anthony Gordon’s total goal count in the tournament reached 10.

The match ended in a 6–1 victory for Newcastle.
