Qarabag goalkeeper Kochalski enters UCL Top-3

Qarabag goalkeeper Mateusz Kochalski has climbed into the top three in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) for total saves.

Axar.az informs the 25-year-old achieved the milestone during the first-leg playoff match in Baku, where Qarabag lost 1–6 to Newcastle, making 10 saves in the game.

Kochalski’s total saves across the group stage and playoff round now stand at 40. The UCL top three is led by Nikita Haykin (Bodo/Glimt) with 52 saves, followed by Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid) with 44.

The return-leg match between Qarabag and Newcastle is scheduled for February 25 in England.
