Qarabag’s Kamilo Duran makes Champions League history

Qarabag forward Kamilo Duran made history in the UEFA Champions League by scoring in the playoff match against Newcastle, which ended 2-3.

Axar.az reports the 24-year-old striker has now scored five goals this season, becoming only the third Colombian to net five or more goals in a single Champions League campaign.

Duran has matched the achievements of global stars like Jackson Martinez and Radamel Falcao.

It’s worth noting that Qarabag signed Duran at the start of the season from Portuguese second-division side Portimonense for just €200,000. His Champions League goals have come against clubs including Eintracht Frankfurt (2 goals), Ajax, Benfica, and Newcastle.
