Alexis Sanchez has had his license confiscated

Alexis Sanchez has reportedly been fined, had his licence confiscated and been given a court date after being caught speeding in Chile.

The Arsenal striker, on international duty in his homeland, was doing 96mph in a 75mph zone on a motorway in capital city Santiago.

Reports claim Sanchez was clocked by cops yesterday and an image of what is thought to be his ticket is circulating online.

According to AS, Sanchez has now been given an April 12 court date in Buin, just south of Santiago.

That comes just two days after Crystal Palace host Arsene Wenger’s side in the Premier League.

Chile boss Juan Antonio Pizzi had given his players the day off training ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Venezuela on Tuesday.

Sanchez was all smiles when the team got together again today for final preparations ahead of the game.

But his brush-in with the law is the latest blow for Sanchez, who has been accused of upsetting team-mates by throwing a tantrum following the defeat to Argentina.
