David Silva, the former player of the Spanish national team and the English "Manchester City" club, has finished his professional career.

Axar.az reports that the midfielder, who suffered a serious knee injury during the training camp with the Spanish "Real Sociedad" before the new season, said goodbye to football at the age of 37.

Sharing about this on his social network account, Silva said that he made one of the most difficult decisions of his life:

"Today is a sad day for me. It's time to say goodbye to the game I dedicated my life to, my colleagues who are like family to me. I will miss football a lot."

It should be noted that during his career, David Silva played in the clubs "Valencia", "Eybar" and "Celta" of his country.
