Ilham Zakiyev became the European runner-up

Azerbaijani para judoka Ilham Zakiyev won a silver medal at the European Paralympic Championship held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Axar.az reports that the two-time Paralympic champion, who performed in the weight category above 90 kg, climbed to the second step of the podium.

It should be noted that earlier Shahana Hajiyeva (48 kg) and Khanim Huseynova (70 kg) were European champions, Dursadaf Karimova (+70 kg) and Namig Abasli (73 kg) won silver, Khatira Ismiyeva (+70 kg) and Ismayil Muradov ( 60 kg) won a bronze medal.
