We have developed a lot as a team. As in every match, tomorrow we will fight until the end.
Axar.az reports that the head coach of the Azerbaijan national football team, Gianni De Biasi, said these words at a press conference before the match they will play against Sweden in Baku in the qualifying round of Euro-2024.
The Italian expert said that all the players are on the field for the maximum result:
"We have good strikers. This is football, anything can happen at any time. Sometimes our strongest players play poorly. Of course, we are disappointed in such moments. When we go out on the field, we put our hearts out. There are times when mistakes are made in attack. But this does not mean that we are reluctant. It is the first time that we are in the 4th place in a five-team group. This has never happened before. The fans should know that it is not good for us to lose. We were close to victory in the game against Austria, too. but it didn't work".
He emphasized that all the players he invited to the national team were of good quality.
"Emil Safarov has a problem with his leg. I hope he will recover soon. All our players are important. I try to give them all a chance. There may be some changes in the squad in the match against Belgium. The reason why 27 players have been called up for the match against Sweden is that 2 players are on the yellow card limit."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijan-Sweden match, which will be played at the Republic Stadium named after Tofig Bahramov on November 16, will start at 21:00.
