Azerbaijani taekwondo player Gashim Magomedov won a license for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games.

Axar.az informs that the national member fighting in the 58 kg weight class achieved this success in the Champions Series of the "Grand Slam" held in Wuxi, China.

Magomedov, who won the qualifying stage of the competition, climbed to the top of the podium this time.

Kashim defeated the last Iranian winner of the Grand Prix in the 1/4 finals and advanced to the semi-finals. This time he won against the Chinese, whom he lost to in the World Championship in Baku. Our taekwondo player defeated the last world champion in the finals and won a gold medal as well as a license to the Olympics.

This is the first qualification of our taekwondo team for the Paris-2024 Summer Olympic Games.
