Ukraine strike hits Belgorod dam, 1,000 evacuated

The Belgorod Reservoir Dam in Russia was damaged by a strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Axar.az informs that the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported this on his Telegram channel.

He said that if the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack again, the Belgorod Reservoir Dam could collapse and flood the homes of about 1,000 people.

"If this happens, there is a risk of flooding several streets in our settlements, where about 1,000 residents live," he wrote.

Gladkov also said that those living at risk of flooding have been evacuated. Residents have been advised to look for temporary housing.
