Kyiv faces the worst energy crisis since 2022

Kyiv has only half of its electricity supply and is experiencing its worst energy crisis since February 2022.

Axar.az reports that the city's mayor, Vitali Klitschko, told.

He urged residents to temporarily leave the city if possible to reduce the burden on infrastructure.

According to Klitschko, Kyiv needs about 1,700 megawatts of electricity to supply its 3.6 million residents. Due to severe frosts, a significant part of the city has been left without heat, there is a serious electricity shortage, and in some areas, there are power outages of up to 18-20 hours a day.
