Ursula von der Leyen and Antonio Costa travels to Kyiv

Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, has arrived in Kyiv to mark four years since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Axar.az reports, citing her post on X, this is her tenth visit to the city since the war began.

The visit aims to reaffirm that Europe stands unwaveringly with Ukraine, financially, militarily, and through this harsh winter.

Von der Leyen emphasized the EU’s unwavering commitment to Ukraine’s just struggle and sent a clear message to both the Ukrainian people and the aggressor: Europe will not relent until peace is restored. “Peace on Ukraine’s terms,” she stated.

She was accompanied by European Council President Antonio Costa, who also traveled to Kyiv.
