Seven dead in Ukrainian drone strike on Smolensk

Four people have been killed and four others seriously injured after the Ukrainian military carried out drone strikes on a fertilizer plant in Russia’s Smolensk region.

Axar.az informs according to Russian Telegram channels, the strikes triggered a large fire at the facility.

Three of the deceased were rescue workers.

A Ukrainian drone attack on a fertilizer plant in the western Smolensk region killed at least seven people and injured 10 others on Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Smolensk region Governor Vasily Anokhin said that authorities might order an evacuation of nearby towns as environmental and industrial safety experts were dispatched to assess whether a potential chemical leak posed a danger to public health.
