The Iranian Armed Forces have prepared a list of diverse targets in response to potential attacks by the United States and its allies.

Axar.az reports, citing Fars News Agency, regardless of the high likelihood of failure of any potential aggression and the resulting casualties for attackers, Iran—given the failure of diplomacy and its complete distrust of what it describes as false negotiations—has developed its target bank based on the principles of “reciprocal action” and “offensive deterrence.”

The following scenarios are part of Iran’s response planning depending on the type of US action:

- If Iran’s power plants are attacked: Iran would destroy power plants in Israel and other US allied countries in the region using missile and drone strikes.

- If Iran’s oil and gas infrastructure is attacked: Iran would target key oil and gas facilities of Israel and regional countries, aiming to reduce global oil supply by 25 million barrels per day for one year.

- If Iranian military or civilian figures are assassinated: Iran would destroy information technology and artificial intelligence centers in Israel and other US allied countries.

- If territorial aggression occurs (such as seizure of islands or ports): Iran would launch large-scale combined ballistic, cruise, and drone attacks on aircraft carriers and attacking helicopters.

- If the maritime blockade of Iran continues or intensifies: Iran would close the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and, if necessary, fully shut down the Strait of Hormuz through extensive mining and cut off all oil export pipeline routes.

- Iran would also carry out surprise operations against US interests outside the region.

- In the event of a ground invasion from US bases in the region: Iran would conduct combined ground operations with resistance forces and local fighters in host countries, including capturing US military personnel with the help of local populations.
