Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has thanked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his greetings on Ukraine’s Independence Day.

Axar.az reports that Zelensky made the remarks in a post on X.

"Grateful to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his cordial wishes on Ukraine’s Independence Day.

Turkiye’s firm commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity lies at the heart of unprecedentedly strong relationship.

Ukraine also appreciates your personal involvement and Turkiye’s mediation in bringing Ukrainians home from Russian captivity and in efforts to bring peace closer," he said.
