Over 10 Iranian tankers stranded off Sri Lanka

More than a dozen Iranian-flagged tankers remain off the coast of Sri Lanka as US forces continue to blockade Iranian ports.

Axar.az reports, citing the Financial Times, that shipping analytics firm TankerTrackers said more than a dozen tankers owned by Iranian state entities remain in Sri Lanka’s exclusive economic zone.

Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Ports said it was unaware of the presence of the Iranian tankers off the country’s coast, while the Foreign Ministry declined to comment.
