Syria's President appoints Mazloum Abdi as adviser

Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa appointed former SDF/YPG ringleader Mazloum Abdi as an adviser on Thursday.

Axar.az reports, citing the Syrian Arab News Agency, that Al-Sharaa issued a decree on Thursday, appointing Abdi to the position of “adviser to the Presidency of the Republic”.

Abdi announced Tuesday the dissolution of the SDF/YPG terror organization at a news conference.

It should be noted that on August 25, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were dissolved, and Kurdish forces were fully integrated into the army.
