Kazakhstan fires another Deputy Defense Minister

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has dismissed Deputy Defense Minister Askar Beisenov following the deaths of servicemen during military exercises in the Caspian Sea.

Axar.az reports, citing the Kazakh presidential press service, that Tatyana Savelyeva has been appointed to replace Beisenov.

It should be noted that 14 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan were killed during military exercises in the Caspian Sea on September 24.

Tokayev had previously dismissed the defense minister and two other deputy defense ministers over the incident.
