Commander of the 8th Joint Forces of the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General of the Guards Andrei Mordvichev was killed at Chernobayevka airport.

Axar.az reports that the information was confirmed by Alexei Arestovich, Advisor to the Chief of Staff of the President of Ukraine.

He said that the command post of the 8th Special General Army of the Southern Military District of Russia was destroyed together with the commander.
