After the operation carried out by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region, Russian occupiers are forced to relocate their forces from Ukraine to Kursk.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the DV publication, citing retired U.S. Army Major General Gordon Davis.

According to him, the Kursk operation will allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to slow down and exhaust the Russian army's offensive, while the West will lift restrictions on missile strikes against Russian territory.

"By maintaining control over the areas captured in the Kursk region, Ukraine will try to preserve a political and military balance between losses and achievements on the battlefield, which will make Russia's advance into Ukrainian territory more difficult and costly. While the Kursk offensive is a positive step for Ukraine, the big question remains how long the Ukrainians can hold their positions in the Kursk direction," the expert said.
