Axar.az reports that the Vice Admiral Denih Hendrata said the drills would take place from November 4 to 8 in the Java Sea near a naval base in Surabaya.

According to the senior naval officer, the joint drills with Russia codenamed "Orruda 2024" will be Indonesia’s first since its independence.

Russia will send three corvette class warships, a medium tanker ship, a military helicopter, and a tug boat, it said.
