After the fall of the Assad regime, it has emerged that restrictions had been imposed on Turkiye in Syria.

Axar.az informs that this information was reported by turkish media Sozchu.

It was revealed that during Bashar al-Assad's rule, Turkish lira was not accepted at currency exchange offices. In addition, calls to Turkiye through Syria's telecommunications network were not allowed.

It is worth noting that on December 8, Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham captured Damascus, overthrowing the Assad regime. Bashar al-Assad and his family fled to Russia.
