An armed man kills 12 people in Montenegro

In the city of Cetinje, Montenegro, a shooting by an armed criminal resulted in the deaths of 12 people, including 2 children.

Axar.az reports that this information was shared by the RTCG television channel.

The mass killing occurred on the evening of January 1 after a domestic dispute at a local bar.

The suspect in the killings is 45-year-old Atso Martinovic, who had previously been detained for illegal possession of weapons.

After an argument with a customer at the bar, the individual went home to retrieve a firearm, returned to the bar, and shot the owner and several others. He then went on to open fire in the street.

According to the prosecutor's office, the murders took place at five different locations. Martinovic also killed the bar owner’s family, including two children.

When the police arrived to arrest the criminal, he attempted suicide and died on the way to the hospital.

A three-day mourning period has been declared in Cetinje in connection with the mass killings.
