Armenia’s trade shrinks by 45% in first half of 2025

Armenia’s foreign trade turnover dropped by 45% in January–June 2025 compared to the same period in the previous year, amounting to $9.668 billion.

Axar.az reports citing Armenia’s Statistical Committee.

Exports during the first six months of this year were 52.8% lower than the same period in 2024, totaling $3.7556 billion.

In addition, imports into the country declined by 38.6% in the January–June period compared to the previous year. The volume of imports in the first half of 2025 was estimated at $5.913 billion.

In June alone, imports increased by 0.9% compared to the previous month, reaching $1.0017 billion. However, compared to June 2024, the import volume in June 2025 decreased by 17.1%.
