SOCAR commissions new platform in Caspian Sea

Azerbaijan's state oil company SOCAR completed the construction of the new deep-water platform #6 at the Bulla Deniz gas field in the Caspian Sea and commissioned it, reads a SOCAR message issued on May 2.

SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev and representatives of the company's management participated in the ceremony for launching the platform.

The platform is meant for drilling four wells, one of which will be exploratory, and the other three ones will be operational.

It is planned to extract 500,000 cubic meters of gas and 150 tons of condensate from each well.
