Axar.az reports that molecular-genetic treatment can prevent increase of these diseases.

One of the most famous centres in the world Afgen Genetic Diagnosis Center started to work in Baku since August of 2011. After 2012 it continued its work in Biological Medicine.

Head of the Afgen Genetic Diagnosis Center is famous Azerbaijani professor Afiq Bardali. Prof. Bardali has discovered gene of many diseases and patented under the name of "Bardali gene".

There are two departments in center:

1) Molecular - genetic analyses

2) Cytogenetic analyses

In Molecular genetics department a lot of molecular methods applied to find mutations and microdeletions in genes. In Cytogenetic department chromosome analysis are held by conventional methods. Genetic Diagnosis Center is only center which holds both departments.
