Armenian armed units violated ceasefire using 60mm mortars and large-caliber machine guns with Azerbaijan 116 times on various parts of the contact line of Azerbaijani and Armenian troops over the past 24 hours, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry informed on May 5.

Armenian armed units stationed in the village Berkaber of Armenia’s Ijevan district, Chinari village and nameless uplands of Berd district fired on the positions of Azerbaijani armed forces in Gizilhajili village of Azerbaijan’s Gazakh district, Muncuglu and Kokhanabi villages of Tovuz district.

Moreover, Azerbaijani positions located on nameless uplands of Gadabay district came under fire from Armenian positions located on nameless uplands of Krasnoselsk district.

Another ceasefire violation came from the positions located in Goyarkh, Yarimcha, Chilaburt villages of Terter district, Shikhlar, Javahirli, Sarijali, Kangarli, Novruzlu, Shuraabad, Namirli, Garagashli, Marzili villages of Aghdam district, Kuropatkino of Khojavend district, Garakhanbeyli, Horadiz, Gorgan, Ashaghi Seyidahmadli of Fizuli district, Mehdili of Jabrayil district, as well as on nameless uplands in Goygol, Goranboy, Khojavend, Fizuli and Jabrayil districts.

In consideration of the operational situation, Azerbaijani armed forces inflicted 122 strikes on enemy positions.
