Bayramov meets the new French ambassador

Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with the newly appointed French Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Sophie Lagutte.

Axar.az informs that according to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the ambassador presented a copy of his credentials to the minister.

Jeyhun Bayramov congratulated Sophie Lagutte on her appointment and wished her success in her work.

The meeting discussed the current state of bilateral and multilateral relations between Azerbaijan and France, as well as regional and international issues.

The meeting, which also exchanged views on the causes of the crisis in Azerbaijani-French relations, also noted the importance of continuing mutual dialogue and discussions despite the existing problems.

Jeyhun Bayramov also informed Sophie Lagutte about the current situation and realities in the region in the post-conflict period, as well as the process of normalization between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

The ambassador thanked for the reception and noted that he would spare no effort to contribute to the strengthening of relations between Azerbaijan and France during his term.

During the meeting, views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
