Azerbaijan, Belarus, and Slovakia discuss regional security

Colonel General Karim Valiyev, First Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, held phone conversations with the Chiefs of the General Staffs of Belarus and Slovakia, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reported.

Axar.az informs the calls were initiated by the foreign counterparts. During the conversations with Major General Pavel Muraveiko, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus and First Deputy Defense Minister, and General Daniel Zmeko, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Slovakia, the sides exchanged detailed views on regional security, military cooperation, and the current situation in the region.

The discussions also addressed the attacks carried out by Iranian armed forces using unmanned aerial vehicles against civilian infrastructure in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan, noting that these actions violate international law.

Colonel General Karim Valiyev expressed gratitude to his counterparts for their support and stance.
