Pakistan supports Azerbaijan’s just position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and does not recognize Armenia as a state, said Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri.

"Armenia has occupied Azerbaijani lands, destroying historical, cultural, and religious monuments in the occupied territories,” the deputy chairman of the Pakistani Senate said at the "2017- Year of Islamic Solidarity: Interfaith and Intercultural Dialogue" international conference in Baku on Dec. 21.

"Pakistan and Azerbaijan are fraternal countries. Azerbaijan always attaches great importance to this brotherhood. And we will continue to maintain our fraternal relations with Azerbaijan. We will always stand by Azerbaijan no matter what,” he added.
