Karabakh statement from Iran

Iran expresses its satisfaction that the government of Azerbaijan and representatives of Armenians living in Karabakh reached an agreement on the cessation of conflicts in this region.

Axar.az reports that Nasir Kanani, the spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, said these words.

"There is no reason for conflicts to continue in the region and we hope that we will not witness any war in the region from now on.

"Iran demands full respect for the territorial integrity and borders of the countries of the region and believes that the rights and security of the residents of Karabakh should be ensured," he said.
