Lavrov criticized Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Turkiye

During Serzh Sargsyan's presidency, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov criticized Azerbaijan and Turkiye's positions, and under Nikol Pashinyan's premiership, he has harshly criticized Armenia.

Axar.az reports that former Armenian parliamentary vice-speaker Eduard Sharmazanov stated this.

He mentioned that Lavrov is actually targeting Pashinyan, not Armenia:

'Now, people in the country have started to criticize the Russian Foreign Minister. But the problem is not with Lavrov; it is with our Prime Minister. He is undermining Armenia's previously 'reliable' position. Remember, in April 2016, Lavrov visited Yerevan and held a press conference with our then-Foreign Minister. The Kremlin official at that time described Armenia as a key partner of Russia in the CIS.'

Sharmazanov emphasized that Lavrov, after the April battles, stated that Moscow does not support a military solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh issue:

'He also harshly criticized Turkiye's position regarding the events between Azerbaijan and Armenia, calling it unacceptable. All these statements were made during Sargsyan's tenure.'

It is also noted that recently, Sergey Lavrov accused the Armenian leadership of sabotaging the trilateral agreement
