Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received the newly appointed ambassador of the State of Qatar to our country, Mohammad Hamad Saad al-Hajiri.

It was reported that J. Bayramov congratulated Ambassador Mohammad Hamad Saad al-Hajiri on his appointment and wished him success in his future activities.

During the meeting, issues arising from the current bilateral and multilateral cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Qatar, plans, as well as the current situation in the region were discussed.

Political, economic, educational, humanitarian, etc. between the two countries. the existence of successful cooperation in the fields was noted with satisfaction. It was brought to our attention that the 30th anniversary of the foundation of diplomatic relations between our countries will be completed soon.

To further expand our current cooperation, many mechanisms, including political consultations, as well as the importance of using the opportunities of the Joint Economic, Trade, and Technical Commission between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Qatar were noted.

In addition to bilateral cooperation, it was noted that mutually beneficial activities within the framework of regional and international organizations are admirable, especially since new opportunities for cooperation have arisen within the framework of Azerbaijan's chairmanship of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).

The territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country were completely restored, ending the past conflict, reconstruction works in the region during the post-conflict period, as well as the process of normalization of relations with Armenia were discussed in detail.

Ambassador Muhammad Hamad Saad al-Hajiri thanked for the reception and congratulations and pointed out that he will spare no effort in the development of the current cooperation between Azerbaijan and Qatar during his activity.

The meeting also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
