Russia calls for an end to bloodshed in the Middle East and the creation of conditions for a political solution.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in an interview with Turkey’s "Hurriyet" newspaper.

“We urge to refrain from actions that lead to further escalation of violence and a loss of control over the situation. There will be no winners in this conflict. The path to normalization goes through stopping the bloodshed and creating conditions for a political solution to the Palestine-Israel conflict based on widely recognized international legal principles. This includes the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders,” he stated.

He noted that only such a solution can guarantee lasting peace in the Middle East.
