Georgia will be among the first key states to close at 7pm ET, while Hawaii and Alaska will collect ballots until 12am ET.
Axar.az reports that , citing the Guardian, following a historic US election cycle, which saw the incumbent president step down from his re-election bid and two assassination attempts on the Republican presidential nominee, Americans are finally heading to the polls.
By the time the polls close on November 5, tens of millions of voters will have already cast their ballots, with even more expected to vote in person on Election Day. In 2020, over 200 million Americans participated in the presidential election, marking the highest voter turnout since 1992.
This year, election experts are anticipating similarly high turnout, with Americans eager to have their say in what is expected to be a highly contested race between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. In addition to the presidential election, voters will have the chance to participate in numerous federal, state, and local elections.
