Finance magazine Forbes has come out with its latest ranking of Movie Actresses that measures money earned in the last 12 months.

In an industry that is known to be less favorable to women, the pay packets earned by the leading ladies don't even come close to what their male counterparts earn. The topper of the list earns 40% lower than the Best paid actor Robert Downey Jr who earned $80 million last year.

5.Jennifer Aniston: $16m

Everybody's favorite girl next door has seen declining fortunes of late, but still makes it to the top 5 as she gets married to beau Justin Theroux.

4.Fan Bingbing: $21m

Chinese A-list star Fan Bingbing is the only non-American in the list with her most recognized appearance being in "X-Men: Days of Future Past".

3.Melissa McCarthy: $23m

The latest comedy queen of movie goers, she had a good run last year with Spy and Tammy.

2.Scarlett Johansson: $35m

In addition to her Indie film work, she starred in action flick Lucy as well as the tentpole Avengers 2.

1.Jennifer Lawrence: $52m

The Oscar winning actress added her earnings from being the face of Fashion House Dior to her earnings from block busters like the Hunger Games.
