Armenia pollutes the Araz River

Armenia is causing an ecological problem by intentionally or mistakenly discharging polluted waters and waste from mines located in the upper reaches of the Araz River into the waterway.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Mohammad Beygi, head of the Civil Defense Center of East Azerbaijan Province.

Previously, Iranian parliament member Sumayya Rafiei reported that Armenia's pollution of the Araz River has reached a dangerous level, urging the Iranian Foreign Ministry and Iran's ambassador in Armenia to take decisive action on the matter.
