More coaches are weighing in on the Adidas/recruiting scandal.

Axar.az reports that the Salt Lake Tribune asked Utah coaches to comment. Utah’s Larry Krystkowiak, BYU’s Dave Rose, Weber State’s Randy Rahe and most interestingly Utah Valley’s Mark Pope commented.

Pope is the most interesting one as he played for Rick Pitino at Kentucky.

Frank Martin also has some things to say and his inner bouncer comes out when he talks about people who negatively recruit against South Carolina.

Finally, to segue to the other scandal du jour, or actually of the last couple of decades, the Virginian-Pilot has a few things to say about that scandal, with this withering but absolutely conclusion: “With its reputation in tatters, the school should have acted swiftly and sternly to punish its sports teams and coaches. Its refusal to do so means the NCAA is the only remaining hope of making UNC pay the price for nearly 20 years of wrongdoing.“

Some very smart people disagree on what the NCAA can and can't-do, but clearly, they could do this: require UNC to forfeit every event in which an ineligible player participated. If that wipes out every event for the 18 years of the scandal, then so be it.
